You should retain an executive recruiter when you are looking to hire not just the most qualified candidate on the market, but the very best candidate possible. We use our industry networks and research tools to discover prospective candidates who may not be looking for a new opportunity, and thus aren't reachable through job postings. These people, when confronted with an attractive opportunity, quite often become active candidates for the position you want to fill.


We look at literally hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of prospective candidates in each search. We winnow down the list, using the detailed position description that we've prepared with your advice and counsel. We screen the most promising prospects in one or more conversations. The candidates who emerge from that process are interviewed face-to-face, which gives us an opportunity to assess them in terms of personality and other characteristics that don't reveal themselves in resumes.

Along the way we keep in constant contact with you, telling you about the questions candidates are raising and letting you know our progress. Finally, we emerge with a list of three to four candidates, each of whom we believe is suitable for the position. We present this very select group to you, along with resumes and detailed written evaluations. We strongly recommend you also have us vet the candidates using our personality assessment tools to assure a good cultural fit.

Once you have made a choice, we assist you in putting together and transmitting an offer. We also do an extensive reference check. The entire process typically takes 90 days, and none of it is delegated to outsiders or anyone other than TIG principals.
